Lucy is a very sweet 6 year old English Cocker Spaniel rescue, she has been with me for 6 months.
Unsure about having her fixed right away as wanted to let her settle into her new home. She bonded immediately with myself and Winnie (lab/collie) slept and with her all the time. Now Lucy is in heat, she has started staring at herself in the mirror or sleeping against the mirror and howling all night. We are grieving and missing our 13 year old lab/collie Winnie for a month now. Lucy came from a place unknown to me although heard there were a lot of dogs. She has separation anxiety, follows me from room to room.
Depending on conditions mating may be fine (keep one or two pups).
Other option Adopting, must be easy going and good with people, cats and dogs.
